Dal moog have the various variaties

Dal moung have eaten vaious parts of the Asian Countries which includes Bangladesh , India, Pakistan. In tamil it is known that the split bean known as pesara, which is green with husk, and yellow when dehusked. The beans are small ovoid in shape and green in color . The english word mung that derives from the Hindi word.

The mung bean is one of many species recently moved from the genus Phaselous to Vigna, and is still often variations of the nomencalture have been regarding same plant species.The starch of mung beans is also extracted from them to make jellies and "transparent" or "cellophane" noodles. Some people claim that the transparent wrapping of Vietnamese spring rolls is made from mung bean flour. However, it is actually made of rice flour, tapioca starch, water, and salt. Mung batter is used to make crepes named pesarattu in Andhra Pradesh India.

Modern hybrid focus on improving disease resistance over heirloom plants.  Tomato pests are stink bugs, cutworms and tobacco hornworms, aphids, cabbage loopers ,slugs and Colorado potato beetles.


In wild original state, tomatoes required cross pollination they were much more self-incompatible
than domestic cultivars. As a floral device to reduce selfing, pistil of the wild tomatoes extends farther out the flower than today's cultivars. The stamens were and remain entirely within the closed corolla.
